H2O:
(This one takes a few minutes to load)

The rains have come again.
Yesterday, they were driven:
huge drops whipped by the wind.
Today the rain is faint and gentle
graying the sky with mist.
It settles from the air
onto my windows, the drops
so small that even gravity
cannot pull them down further.

The rains have come again.
Tomorrow, perhaps,
it will rain in sheets;
Great curtains of rain
marching down the street,
turning the gutters
into little rivers
with leaves afloat like boats.

When the rivers
are brown with the runoff,
and the earth is like
a well soaked sponge,
the Sun will come out
and I'll watch the steam
rising from the ground.

The rains have come again.
It isn't cold enough to be winter,
nor yet warm enough for comfort.
I love to walk among the trees,
With the mist clinging to
my hair and glasses,
and listen to the birds
and the squirrels argue.

The rains have come again.
